I’m Lynne Chick. I have always loved reading and writing. After spending a great deal of time pretending I am a grown up and want to write for businesses professionally, (think white papers, reports, and copywriting), I realized something. I’m not. And I don’t.
I was enrolled at Northern Arizona University in the Masters in English in Professional Writing. I am happy to say, that with the support of my fabulous husband and two cats, I recently transferred to Southern New Hampshire University to pursue my master’s degree in English and Creative Writing.
As a side note, I also have a dog, but he is adamantly opposed to my new program. He believes the responsible thing to do is to finish what I started.
Anyway, they say admitting it is the first step, so here I am. I am looking forward to finding other fiction writers, especially in the mystery and horror genres. We can support each other and offer encouragement. Alternatively, we can publicly share our disappointment, lack of confidence, and poor decision-making abilities that led us to become writers in the first place.
More importantly, we can remind each other that no matter how rough this road gets, there is always wine and chocolate. So much chocolate.
